  • What do I need to do prior to waxing?
Lightly exfoliate the area 24-48 hours prior to your appointment to remove dead skin. Moisturise your skin on the days before, but do not apply moisturiser on the day of your waxing as it will interfere with your results. Hairs should be about ½ a centimetre long (about the length of a grain of rice). Do not shave before your appointment. You may trim the area carefully, but please make sure you don’t trim the hairs too short.
  • What do I need to do after waxing?
Avoid hot showers, saunas, swimming, strenuous exercise or lying in the sun for at least 24 hours after your wax. Remember your follicles are open for up to 48 hours after waxing so keep the area clean! Avoid touching the area and wear loose clean clothing and clean any makeup brushes prior to use. Wear loose, comfortable clothing after waxing to avoid irritation caused by rubbing. Continue your regular moisturising routine a day or two after but avoid any exfoliation. Your exfoliation routine can begin again after one week, and make sure you continue to moisturise.
  • How long does waxing last?
Usually appointments are 4-6 weekly as needed. Your therapist will help determine the time frame necessary. Regular appointments will help the hair follicle become less thick and slow your hair growth, thus causing less pain!
  • What are the benefits of regular waxing?
Not only will you maintain your great results from having regular waxes, but your hair will also grow back progressively finer and sparser. This is because the wax removes the hair from the root, causing the hair follicle to weaken each time. These finer hairs also mean there is no itchiness or prickliness as your hair is regrowing. Waxing also gently exfoliates your skin, and while it will never take the place of regular exfoliation, it can help to brighten the surface of your skin and enhance smoothness.
  • What facial is suitable for me?
All of our facials are tailored to suit your individual skincare needs. We do an assessment and questionnaire prior to your facial to work out what your needs, wants and requirements are. This allows us to chose products based on your skin type and desired outcome.
  • How often should I get a facial?
Our general recommendation is to have a facial every three to four weeks. That's how long your skin's life cycle is. After three or four weeks, your skin cells grow back. Facials help this process and assure your skin always glows.
  • Are facials worth it?
A really good facial clears out your pores and tightens your skin. This reduces wrinkles, renews skin cells, helps blood flow, reduces puffy eyes & red skin, rids skin of toxins and can hydrate deeper into the skin than regular cleansing. And if you're someone who wears a lot of makeup, it's a good idea to get a facial every so often to help keep your skin and your pores clean

  • What is brow lamination?
This eyebrow shaping technique involves smoothing out your brow hairs to create the appearance of fuller, thicker, more desirable brows, complete with a shiny, gel-like finish—hence the name. Lamination can be a good choice for people who have eyebrow hairs that grow in an undesirable direction. For example, the treatment is popular among people whose eyebrows grow in a downwards direction making the brows look flat. With brow lamination, the direction of growth can be turned upwards to create an arched look. Brow lamination can be used to help people who have very thin brows or gaps between hairs. Eyebrow lamination is also good for those who have microblading & semi-permanent brow tattooing. By resetting the hair over the tattooing, they appear to look more textured & natural. After the procedure, your eyebrows will look thicker, fuller, straighter & combed up into the ideal shape. You won't have to use a pencil to draw in the shape anymore.
  • What do I need to do prior to lamination?
A light exfoliation prior to the appointment is preferable & no makeup to the appointment.
